Players aged 7 and up have the opportunity to try out for our select teams. Based on the number of qualified players in each league, the goal is to field Storm and Cyclones teams. Our Storm teams are comprised of the more qualified players in an age group, while our Cyclones teams offer additional instruction while preparing players for tournament play.
SSYS has 2 seasons for Select Teams. The Spring Select season begins in February and ends in early May. Our Summer Select Teams begin in May and run through June and may resume playing in the Fall.
Players on a Spring Select team are not guaranteed a roster spot for a Summer team.
